Yoga of the Heart

This therapeutic yoga class is designed for those recovering from or dealing with long-term illness, surgeries (specifically cardiac surgery) or for those looking for an ongoing supportive group of people who benefit from the practice of yoga. Instructor approval required for participation. Sorry, no drop ins.

Vinyasa Yoga
Instructor: Charlene Gernert
Vinyasa Yoga uses the techniques of connecting postures, breath, and movement to create an energetic flow throughout your practice. The principles of Vinyasa will be discussed and instruction will be given during the term on flow, breath, focus, alignment, heat, postures, and inspirations. Come to class with an interest and an openness to experience what yoga can offer you. This is an intermediate level class.

Yoga Morning Stretch

Begin your day with friends from the community who practice yoga stretch—not only stretching the body but also expanding the spirit. Creative stretches along with gentle classical yoga poses combine to keep you moving smoothly throughout your week. A guided relaxation completes each class.

Energize and relax with a nurturing yoga practice which emphasizes classical postures, pranayama and guided relaxation. Appropriate for all levels.

Yoga Level 1

Very Gentle Yoga

Ready to explore yoga? Starting very slowly and gently we’ll learn body awareness while focusing on breath. Using the classical yoga poses as our guide, each session will explore the flexibility of the spine, inner strength throughout the body and the new possibilities that yoga offers. Each class ends with a guided relaxation and short meditation.
